Their unique floral flavor profile is a sweet delight and is perfect for many recipes involving fruit. The vast majority of the beans grown on the island are of the Tahitensis variety, which is one of the 2 main species of vanilla. This is where the word Tahitian is derived in the description of these vanilla beans. It references the species, not the country.
Indonesia is the second-largest producer of vanilla beans in the world, after Madagascar. Our beans are triple inspected throughout the beans' journey from Indonesia to the United States. First, they are inspected by our farmers who have hundreds of years of wisdom and experience growing these gourmet pods. The second inspection is before bulk packaging for packaging and to ensure no mold has developed. The final inspection is done at our warehouse moments before packing your shipment. We check the smell, quality, and appearance one final time. Once all of these are checked, we vacuum seal our vanilla beans in our beautiful custom industrial vacuum pouches to a tight 28 HG vacuum.
Storage: Vacuum packed preferred to ensure fresh beans. Shelf life is approximately 2 years if properly vacuum sealed and stored.
