Flavor Profile: A traditional Planifolia vanilla bean with scents of warm earthy spices along with creamy caramel and chocolate undertones.

Vanilla beans originated in Mexico and are sun cured for months using the traditional drying method. They are now found all over the world from places like Madagascar to Indonesia to Papa New Guinea PNG farms. Gourmet Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans are the highest quality beans in the world and have an incredible flavor profile. The scent consists of a heavenly buttery aroma with a rich, black or dark brown color and an oily outside surface. The interior of the bean is where the magic is at and consists of millions of black, tiny vanilla seeds that are waiting to be scraped out.

Our beans are traditionally cured to develop the full, complex vanilla flavor made of over 200 organic compounds that artificial vanilla (Natural Vanilla Flavor WONF) cannot properly replicate. The entire process takes anywhere from 6 to 9 months after pollination and our farmers have turned vanilla processing and curing into a true art.

Our grade A vanilla beans are ~5 - 6 inches in length and are handpicked to ensure proper qualities. There are so many recipes that can be created with these magical beans! They are perfect for making homemade vanilla extract or KAHLUA, home cooking or baking, desserts such as vanilla bean ice cream, cake, cupcakes, or cookies and are a top choice of professional chefs for making desserts such as Creme Brulee. Our beans are also a top pick for home brewers or those who own a brewery! Homemade KAHLUA or Vanilla extract is also a very popular gift and can be made using a simple vodka infusion method! Bonus points for using the spent vanilla beans after the extract making process for creating vanilla sugar!

Our beans are triple inspected throughout the beans journey from Burundi to the United States. First, they are inspected by our farmers who have hundreds of years of wisdom and experience growing these gourmet pods.  The second inspection is before bulk vacuum sealing for transport and to ensure no mold has developed. The final inspection is done at our warehouse moments before packing your shipment. We check the smell, quality, and appearance if any mold has developed a final time. Once all of these are checked, we vacuum seal our vanilla beans in our beautiful custom industrial vacuum pouch to a tight 28 HG vacuum.

Beyond my expectations!

So happy with my vanilla beans. The ordering and payment process was easy, shipment was fast, and they arrived vacuum sealed! This gave me time to figure out what I wanted to make with them. Upon opening, they were fresh, plump, and the scent was heaven……top quality beans. I highly recommend Vanilla Bean Kings and look for their Co-op offers.

Excited for my new great find!

I do a lot of baking and was frustrated the other day at the prices of extract. Many years ago I would make my own, but using beans from the grocery store, which are now ridiculously priced for one or 2 anemic looking beans.

So what does a person do in these cases? Google it! I came across a number of other sites that didn't impress me much with the selection, pricing, etc. Then VIOLA! Vanilla Bean Kings!

I was VERY impressed with the wide variety of regions offered as well as the extremely affordable price. I never knew so much about vanilla but having a fun time getting ready to be a "snob" after a few more orders.

Of course the proof is in what you get. We all know how that works between what you order and what you receive. I received my order exactly on time. The bag was sealed nicely so there was no light, no airflow, nothing to inhibit them. The beans themselves were plump, beautiful, aromatic, amazing!

I almost feel guilty that the first thing I did with these was to just make vanilla extract (one for me, one for another family member cook). Then again not...I'm already shopping for my next batch for a different region, and a little vanilla salt...vanilla ice cream...vanilla powder...

Not enough vanilla in my life!!!!

Wonderful brans

I’ve purchased the Burundi and Sumatra beans twice to make vanilla paste and in my view the combination is awesome. These beans arrived quickly, are fragrant and oily lending to a terrific final product. My husband loves blueberry muffins and the paste made with these beans have taken them to another level. I’m going to have to order more to make extract.

Delicate and delicious

This might be my favorite of the several varieties I ordered. Not as punchy as the Madagascar but smooth and fragrant

Burundi Beans

I received my beans within a few days of ordering. They were fat and oily and smelled delicious. I even think I got one with a tattoo.

Always pleased with beans

I have purchased several different kinds of beans they each have a distinctive aroma and flavor. I am very pleased and have no complaints about products or company. I hope to buy a few more in the future. I always follow their instructions on how many to use for making extract for best results.
